| Aversbeschreibung | The national seal of the Republic of the Marshall Islands occupies the central field, depicting a traditional Marshallese stick chart navigation device flanked by a sailing canoe at right and a palm-fringed island at left, with a radiant sun above and two crossed traditional implements in the upper field. The legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs along the upper periphery within a decorative chain border, while the Marshallese national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN curves along the lower periphery. The denomination $50 appears to the left of the seal and the date 1995 to the right. |

| Zusätzliche Informationen |
The Marshall Islands issued a sprawling series of commemorative silver dollars throughout the 1990s, many targeting European aviation collectors with subjects that had no geographic connection to the issuing nation whatsoever. The Draken — Sweden's double-delta supersonic interceptor — entered service with the Swedish Air Force in 1960 and was later operated by Austria, Denmark, and Finland. It remained in Swedish frontline service until 1999, meaning this coin was struck while the aircraft was still flying.
Mintage controls on this series were loose, and secondary market values have remained modest despite the silver content.
