| 背面描述 | The reverse displays an extraordinarily detailed aerial perspective map of Paris rendered in high relief across the entire field, capturing the city's distinctive Haussmannian urban grid, radiating boulevards, and iconic landmarks including the Eiffel Tower and major monuments. The River Seine winds prominently through the composition, highlighted in vivid cobalt blue enamel colour, creating a striking visual contrast against the polished and frosted silver surfaces. Recognisable Parisian landmarks such as Notre-Dame, the Panthéon, and Sacré-Cœur can be identified within the meticulously engraved cityscape. At the lower centre of the field, the series legend METROPOLIS appears in stylised lettering, followed by the inscriptions Tiffany Art and 2021. |

Palau's large-format silver issues of this type are produced under a licensing arrangement common among Pacific island microstates — the coins are legal tender of Palau but are designed, marketed, and distributed entirely by European minting houses, in this case through partnerships coordinating with the Paris Mint. Palau itself has no domestic mint and a population of roughly 18,000, making its prolific commemorative program one of the most commercially active in the world relative to its size.
The Paris Mint — Monnaie de Paris — holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating mint in the world, tracing production records to 864 AD under the Edict of Pîtres.
