De La Rue printed the commemorative series at their Loughton facility, and the $50 denomination was part of a broader jubilee release rather than a routine currency replacement — the standard polymer $50 was already in circulation alongside it. P#53 is a paper issue, notable given that Trinidad and Tobago had been migrating portions of its circulating currency to polymer substrate during this period.
