Obverse description The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of the Marshall Islands at centre, featuring a traditional Marshallese sailing canoe and frigate bird above a chain-link border motif, surrounded by a radiant sun, a blimp, and a fishing net in the upper field. The national motto in Marshallese, JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN, is inscribed along the lower portion of the border.
