The Holiday Splendour series represents the Royal Canadian Mint's push into the ultra-high-relief collector market, where .9999 fine silver at this diameter and weight competes directly with privately minted art rounds rather than anything resembling circulating coinage. The 2018 issue was produced in a strictly limited mintage with no secondary striking runs — once sold out, the dies were retired.
