附加信息	Niue entered the commemorative coin market aggressively in the late 1980s, licensing historical and pop-culture subjects through the Franklin Mint and similar distributors to generate revenue — the island's GDP being too small to sustain government finances through conventional means. MacArthur was a reliable seller in the American collector market, and Niue issued a string of World War II military figures during this period under essentially the same commercial logic. MacArthur died in 1964. This coin appeared 25 years later with no particular anniversary to justify it.
