The design features a bold Cubist-inspired geometric background of radiating faceted planes in high relief, with a stylised architectural chair or throne motif centered below the portrait. | Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts the monumental entrance gate of the Ďáblický hřbitov (Ďáblice Cemetery) in Prague, rendered in a stylised Cubist architectural manner consistent with the original design by Czech architect Vlastislav Hofman. Two symmetrical octagonal pavilions flank a central gateway, with decorative latticed panels above; the cemetery grounds are suggested in the background through geometric patterning. The inscription ĎÁBLICKÝ HŘBITOV is divided across the upper field by the central axis, and VLASTISLAV HOFMAN appears in two lines at lower centre. The mint mark and the designer's monogram are visible in the lower field. |
