Reverse description The reverse is designed in the form of an Imperial Fabergé egg, its upper half decorated with an intricate trellis-and-heart lattice pattern set with thirteen inlaid red crystal stones simulating precious gems, evoking the style of the original 1897 Coronation Egg. The lower half of the egg opens to reveal a highly detailed relief of the miniature golden coronation carriage, faithfully reproducing the surprise contained within the historical Fabergé piece. An ornate scrollwork cartouche adorns the bottom of the field, and a border of raised beading frames the entire oval composition. The vertical legend IMPERIAL appears along the left border and FABERGÉ EGGS along the right, with an engraver's initial R visible in the lower central field.
