Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse features a finely detailed depiction of a red kangaroo in full bound, facing left, set against an Australian outback landscape with native scrub and grasses rendered in low relief. A large stylised sun disc occupies the central background behind the kangaroo. The legend AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO arcs along the upper periphery, while the inscription 2015 1/2oz 9999 GOLD appears along the lower rim. The Perth Mint's P mintmark is situated to the right of the design, and the engraver's initials WR are discreetly incorporated into the field.

Aanvullende informatie

Australia's gold kangaroo bullion series has used an annually changing reverse design since 1990 — a deliberate strategy by the Perth Mint to encourage year-on-year collector demand alongside standard bullion buying. The 2015 issue falls within the period when Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth portrait of Elizabeth II was still in use on Commonwealth coinage, before Jody Clark's fifth portrait began replacing it across Australian issues from 2016 onward.
