Reverse description A richly colored and gilded depiction of the iconic funerary death mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun dominates the right portion of the field, rendered in gold and polychrome enamel with the characteristic blue and gold striped nemes headdress, uraeus serpent at the brow, and broad usekh collar at the chest. To the left, a vertically oriented cartouche on a deep red enamel background bears the pharaoh's throne name in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs rendered in gold. In the background, a stylized representation of an ancient Egyptian temple or tomb structure is depicted in silver relief, set against a vivid blue sky with wispy clouds rendered in full color. The overall composition evokes the grandeur of the Eighteenth Dynasty and draws directly from the iconic golden mask discovered in Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922.
