Obverse description Uncrowned and undraped effigy of King Charles III facing left, modelled by sculptor Dominic Thomas, whose initials 'DT' appear below the truncation. The peripheral legend 'CHARLES III' arcs along the upper left and 'AUSTRALIA' along the upper right, while the denomination '50 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower arc, all in raised Latin capitals. The portrait captures the King in a contemporary, unadorned style consistent with the first official Australian coinage effigy of Charles III.
