| Obverse description | The quartered coat of arms of Andorra occupies the central field, displaying the four traditional quarters — the bishop's mitre and crozier, the vertical stripes of the County of Foix, the vertical stripes of the County of Urgell, and two bulls passant — surmounted by an ornate baroque cartouche with foliate scrollwork. The motto legend VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR appears on a ribbon scroll beneath the shield. The country name ANDORRA arcs along the upper periphery, the date 1965 is divided to either side of the shield in the field, and the denomination · 50 · DINERS · 50 · curves along the lower border, all within a beaded rim. |

Andorra had no formal mint of its own in 1965 and relied on the Casa de la Moneda in Madrid for struck coinage. This issue was produced under the authority of the Casa de la Vall, the medieval building in Andorra la Vella that has served as the Andorran parliament since the 16th century — one of the smallest legislative chambers in the world by both physical scale and membership. The X# prefix in standard references signals this as a non-circulating or pattern-adjacent issue rather than everyday commerce coinage, consistent with Andorra's practice of issuing collector pieces decades before establishing a proper monetary framework.
