Obverse description The gilt obverse features a bold central Arabic inscription reading '٥٠ عاماً على إصدار النقد الكويتي' (50 Years of Kuwait Currency Issuance) rendered in flowing calligraphic script occupying the central field. Flanking the central legend on either side are two raised circular vignettes in polished silver relief, each depicting facsimiles of historic Kuwaiti banknotes with detailed engraved text and imagery. An arching Arabic celebratory legend curves along the upper border of the coin, while the lower field continues the commemorative inscription. The composition combines gold-gilt surfaces with contrasting frosted silver inset panels, creating a striking two-tone proof presentation.

Reverse description The gilt reverse displays the English commemorative legend 'In Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Kuwait's Currency Issuance' in elegant script, arching across the upper and lower fields of the coin. The large numeral '50th' is prominently placed in the central gilt field, serving as the focal point of the design. Two silver-toned circular vignettes flank the central numeral, the left panel depicting a facsimile of a modern Central Bank of Kuwait banknote dated 1st April 2011, and the right panel showing an earlier 1961 issue featuring a traditional Kuwaiti dhow sailing vessel. The combination of polished gold-gilt lettering against frosted silver inset panels produces a refined two-tone proof appearance. The reeded edge frames the overall composition.
