| Description de l’avers | Left-facing draped bust of Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Ruler of Bahrain, depicted wearing a traditional Arab keffiyeh secured with an agal, and a richly embroidered bisht robe with geometric and chevron patterning along the collar and hem. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, with no surrounding legend, the design occupying the full flan. The effigy was engraved by Michael Rizzello in a naturalistic sculptural style characteristic of his medallic work. |

| Description du revers | Central device comprising the arms of Bahrain — a shield bearing a serrated white band on red, framed by a wreath of palm fronds — set within a raised inner circle against a mirror-polished proof field. Surrounding the central device, a bilingual legend in Arabic and Latin reads the country name, denomination, and dual-calendar date (AH 1398 / AD 1978). The Arabic inscription arcs across the upper portion of the coin, while the Latin denomination '50 DINARS' and 'BAHRAIN' are inscribed along the lower arc, separated by raised dots serving as punctuation. |
