| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Ruler of Bahrain, depicted wearing a traditional Arab keffiyeh secured with an agal, and a richly embroidered bisht robe with geometric and chevron patterning along the collar and hem. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, with no surrounding legend, the design occupying the full flan. The effigy was engraved by Michael Rizzello in a naturalistic sculptural style characteristic of his medallic work. |
