The denomination "50 Dinars" appears in Latin script at upper left, with the Arabic equivalent "خَمسُونَ دِينَار" inscribed at upper right. In the lower field, the commemorative date is given in both Arabic-Indic numerals (٢٥-٢-١٩٨٦) and Western numerals (25-2-1986), with the legend "25th Anniversary of the National Day of the State of Kuwait" arcing along the lower exergue in English.
