Obverse description Central field displays the Tunisian national coat of arms, a detailed shield depicting a sailing ship in the upper half and scales of justice alongside a lion in the lower half, surmounted by the national emblem comprising a crescent and five-pointed star within a circular device. The legend REPUBLIQUE TUNISIENNE arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, flanked by ornamental scroll devices at either side. The denomination 50 DINARS appears in large raised numerals and lettering along the lower rim. The overall design is rendered in high relief against a polished field.
