| Beschrijving voorzijde | Intaglio-printed portrait of William H. Crawford in an octagonal vignette to the left, with finely engraved guilloche borders and denomination numerals at the corners. A large oval pink underprint carries the "50" denomination twice flanking a central seal impression, with "FIFTY CENTS" arching above in bold blackletter script and "Fractional Currency" below. "SERIES OF 1875" is inscribed at centre, with two facsimile signatures of the Registrar and Treasurer appearing along the lower margin. |
