Reverse description Full-colour depiction of Lilo and Stitch, the beloved characters from Disney's 2002 animated film, shown standing back-to-back in a companionable pose: Lilo, a young Hawaiian girl wearing a red floral dress with arms crossed, appears at left, while Stitch, the blue alien creature, is depicted at right in a similar crossed-arms stance. Above the figures, a bold incuse legend reads FAMILY within a decorative cartouche frame, surmounted by the Disney script logo and the inscription 100 YEARS OF WONDER. Additional information

Issued following Elizabeth II's death in September 2022, this is one of dozens of posthumous commemorative pieces struck by Pacific island nations whose mint contracts and commemorative programs continued uninterrupted through the transition period. The Solomon Islands, as a Commonwealth realm, retained the monarch on its coinage until formal arrangements for Charles III's effigy were finalized — a bureaucratic lag that produced a brief window of posthumous issues across multiple denominations.

Silver-plated iron rather than sterling or fine silver keeps these firmly in the souvenir category.
