The Queen is depicted with softly waved hair pinned at the nape, wearing a pearl necklace, with fine detail in the facial features befitting the proof finish. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim, while D·G·REGINA curves along the upper right, both in serif capitals. The designer's initials SB appear discreetly at the base of the effigy. The overall composition is elegant and restrained, characteristic of Blunt's official Canadian portrait introduced in 2003. |
