| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central design features the royal cypher of Queen Elizabeth II — the intertwined letters EIIR surmounted by a St. Edward's Crown — surrounded by sprays of lily of the valley, one of the Queen's favourite flowers, and golden wattle, Australia's national floral emblem. Radiating around the composition are seventy crowns, one for each year of Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee reign. The inscriptions EIIR and PLATINUM JUBILEE appear prominently within the design, with the designer's initials BHS present in the field. The reverse is executed in high-relief proof finish, befitting a commemorative issue of this significance. |
