The 1967 referendum remains one of the most lopsided votes in Australian constitutional history — over 90% of voters supported amending the constitution to allow the federal government to make laws for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and include them in the census. Fifty years on, this commemorative marks that anniversary. The "Pride and Passion" series in which it sits drew some collector criticism for the breadth of its subject matter, but the 1967 referendum entry is among the more historically grounded pieces in the run.
