A kangaroo stands as the dexter supporter and an emu as the sinister supporter, both rendered in naturalistic polychrome colouring — the kangaroo in gold tones and the emu in blue-grey hues. The shield at centre depicts the six state emblems of the Australian Commonwealth in full heraldic colour, surmounted by the seven-pointed gold Commonwealth Star. Decorative wattle sprays frame the composition in the field, and the denomination numeral 50 is prominently inscribed in bold purple-coloured lettering in the lower field. |
