Denomination numerals '50' appear in ornate cartouches at upper left and upper right, with the full value text and payment promise rendered in a combination of letterpress and script typefaces across the centre field. Signature lines for Accountant and General Manager appear at lower centre, with the printer's imprint 'Charles Skipper & East London' at the foot.

Popis rubu	Printed entirely in pink. The design consists of an intricate geometric guilloche pattern filling the entire field, with three large overlapping rosette medallions arranged horizontally at centre, the central and largest medallion bearing the numeral '50'. Smaller decorative rosette roundels flank the central motif, all set against a fine cross-hatched guilloche background enclosed within a plain rectangular border.
