| Opmerkingen |
Abbeville's Chamber of Commerce began issuing emergency small-change notes during the First World War, when metal coinage effectively vanished from French circulation. This 1920 date places the note in the tail end of that crisis period — most French chambers had wound down their emergency issues by 1922, and many of these late printings saw limited actual use before being demonetized.
Imprimerie Chaix was a serious Paris commercial printer with a long history in transport timetables and illustrated work; their involvement in provincial chambre de commerce issues was common but never perfunctory.
