| Obverse description | Green and salmon-pink note with an intricate guilloche underprint covering the central field. The issuer's name appears in two lines at the top — VILLE D'ABBEVILLE and CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE L'ARRONDISSEMENT D'ABBEVILLE — above the large denomination numeral 0,50 CENTIMES. Decorative acanthus-leaf vignettes frame the corners, and the municipal arms of Abbeville are positioned at the lower centre, flanked by two manuscript signatures with the titles LE PRÉSIDENT and UN ADJOINT. The heading VILLE D'ABBEVILLE appears at the top and CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE L'ARRONDISSEMENT D'ABBEVILLE at the foot, with the denomination corners marked 50. C. The articles specify the role of the Banque de France in accepting deposits and exchanging these bons, the minimum exchange threshold of 50 francs, and a five-year deadline after the liquidation order within which holders must present notes for reimbursement, after which all rights are forfeited. |
