Obverse description Bare-headed left-facing bust of King Norodom I occupying the central field, rendered in high relief with finely detailed wavy hair and a truncated neck. The engraver's signature C. WURDEN appears incuse along the lower truncation. The circular legend NORODOM I ROI DU CAMBODGE arcs around the upper periphery, with the date 1860 positioned prominently in the lower field. The design is framed by a fine dentilated border running along the full circumference.

Reverse description Central device consisting of the royal arms of Cambodia: a shield bearing a tiered pagoda finial above a decorative escutcheon, flanked by two crossed ceremonial swords and surmounted by a radiant sunburst. The shield is encircled by a wreath of laurel branches. Khmer script legend arcs across the upper field identifying the king, while the denomination 50 CENTIMES is inscribed in Latin characters along the lower arc. Two raised dots flank the central device at mid-field. The entire design is enclosed within a dentilated border.
