| Descrizione del dritto | Printed in brown on cream paper, the obverse carries a fine diamond-pattern guilloche underprint across the entire field, overlaid with floral and hop-vine vignettes in the upper corners. A bold central cartouche in dark brown bears the denomination '50 Centimes' in large letterpress characters, framed by wheat-sheaf and laurel ornaments. The series letter appears in a box at upper left, with the serial number in a corresponding box at upper right; two manuscript signatures appear below, attributed to the Treasurer and President of the Chamber of Commerce, above a framed legal text at the foot. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse is richly engraved in brown, with a central octagonal vignette enclosing a view of the Bordeaux port exchange building, encircled by the Latin motto 'QUO NON HAC DUCE' and flanked by abundant sprays of wheat, hops, and vine leaves. A seated allegorical female figure occupies the lower centre, flanked on the left by a panoramic harbour scene with sailing vessels and wine barrels, and on the right by a view of a Bordeaux boulevard with a crowd; the arms of Bordeaux, borne on caduceus-flanked cartouches, appear at each lateral margin. The denomination '50 cents.' is repeated in bold type to either side of the central vignette. |
