The denomination '50 CENTIMES' is printed in large bold letterpress type at centre, above a circular vignette at bottom centre enclosing a view of the Maison des Rois de France, a historic Gothic building in Bergerac. The issuer's name appears in the upper cartouche, with signature lines for Le Président and Le Trésorier flanking the central vignette, and the printer's imprint at lower left and lower right. |

The lower half is occupied by a large panoramic vignette of the Bergerac river port on the Dordogne, with moored flat-bottomed boats and sailing vessels in the foreground and the multi-arched Old Bridge (Vieux Pont) spanning the river in the middle distance, with the town's buildings and hillside visible beyond. The date of issue appears at bottom right. |
