| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in green and composed around a neoclassical architectural framework, with two ornate pilastered columns flanking the field on either side, their capitals decorated with acanthus foliage. A guilloche underprint of overlapping oval medallions fills the centre, above which the issuer's name arcs in letterpress. The large denomination numeral "0fr.50" dominates the centre, with the date "5 NOVEMBRE 1914" set in a rectangular cartouche at the foot, flanked by the facsimile signatures of the President and Treasurer. |

The interior field carries a large pale guilloche underprint of the denomination numerals "0,50" as a lathe-work underprint, over which two blocks of legal text are set in letterpress, stating the guarantee by deposit at the Banque de France and citing Article 139 of the Penal Code against counterfeiting. |
