| Obverse description | Printed entirely in red on cream paper, the obverse carries a central vignette of an Algerian agricultural landscape flanked by palm trees, with clusters of grapes, fig branches, and cereal sheaves framing an ornate cartouche bearing the denomination in both French and Arabic script. The title RÉGION ÉCONOMIQUE D'ALGÉRIE runs along the top border, while three facsimile signatures appear below the central vignette, identified by their respective titles: le Vice-Président Délégué, le Trésorier-Adjoint, and le Trésorier. The series and serial number are printed in black at the lower centre, with the designer's name CH. HERVÉ and printer's imprint at the lower margin. |
