| Description de l’avers | Green and pale paper note with an ornate guilloche border framing the entire face. The denomination CINQUANTE CENTIMES appears in a bold cartouche at the top centre, with the Arabic equivalent inscribed immediately below. Series number and note number appear at left and right respectively, with the decree date (Décret du 30 Septembre 1918) printed in the centre. Two manuscript signatures appear above their respective titles LE TRÉSORIER GÉNÉRAL DE TUNISIE and LE DIRECTEUR GÉNÉRAL DES FINANCES. Lower bilingual (French and Arabic) text states the note is exchangeable against Banque de l'Algérie banknotes and warns against counterfeiting; PROTECTORAT FRANÇAIS appears in the bottom border. |

A large circular official dry-stamp impression, bearing the arms of the Protectorat Français and the legend PROTECTORAT FRANÇAIS – RÉGENCE DE TUNIS, is struck at centre, with the denomination numerals 50 in the four corners within guilloche roundels. |
