The body of the note sets out in full the conditions of forced currency, the two-year redemption clause, and severe penalties for counterfeiting, concluding with the statement "Ce bon de caisse a cours forcé dans toute la Colonie." The imprint "Gorée. — Imp. Gouvt Génal." appears at the lower right, and the composition is framed by the same decorative letterpress border used on the obverse. |
