Opis awersu	The face of this emergency bon de caisse carries the bold denomination "0 fr. 50" at centre, flanked by two circular coin vignettes: at left, the 50 Centimes coin with the legend LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ, and at right, the Semeuse coin of the République Française. The heading "GOUVERNEMENT GÉNÉRAL DE L'A. O. F. / COLONIE DU SÉNÉGAL" appears at the top, with series and number below the denomination, and two manuscript signature lines for the Trésorier-Payeur and the Lieutenant-Gouverneur at the foot. The entire design is enclosed within a decorative floral and geometric letterpress border.

Legenda rewersu	50 CENTIMES EXTRAIT DU DÉCRET DU 11 FÉVRIER 1917 Les bons de caisse émis auront cours forcé soit dans toute l'étendue de la Colonie, soit dans certaines localités désignées par le Lieutenant-Gouverneur de la Colonie intéressée et ne pourront, en aucun cas, circuler hors de cette Colonie ou de ces localités; ils seront remboursés en espèces dans un délai de deux ans, lequel commencera à courir à partir de la cessation des hostilités. Ceux qui auront contrefait ou falsifié les bons de caisse ou fait usage de ces bons contrefaits ou falsifiés seront poursuivis conformément aux lois et punis des travaux forcés à perpétuité ou de l'emprisonnement perpétuel, suivant le statut personnel des délinquants.
