The bust is draped, and the engraver's signature E.A. OUDINÉ F. appears along the lower neck truncation near the inner border. The legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE curves along the upper periphery. |

The civic motto LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE arcs along the upper periphery, with the date and mint letter positioned at the lower field. |
