| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of the Republic personified as Ceres, goddess of the harvest, wearing a pearl necklace and an elaborate composite crown incorporating wheat ears, flowers, olive branches with olives, and oak branches with acorns, secured by a ribbon descending behind the neck and passing across the forehead, upon which the partial inscription CONCOR appears. The bust is draped, and the engraver's signature E.A. OUDINÉ F. appears along the lower neck truncation near the inner border. The legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE curves along the upper periphery. |
