| 正面描述 | Black on green underprint, with the Bolivian coat of arms as a central vignette. The issuer title is inscribed across the top, with the face value rendered in numerals at all four corners and along the lateral borders, and in words below the central vignette. Three manuscript signatures appear below the vignette, with four printed title designations — the two lower titles cancelled by overprint and one additional title added by overprint directly on the arms; series letter in black appears at upper left and right, with six-digit serial numbers in red at upper right and left. Printer imprint at lower margin. |

Bolivia's Tesorería de la República issued this note under treasury authority rather than through a central bank — a distinction that mattered considerably in 1902, when the country's banking sector was still fragmented among regional private banks following the monetary reforms of the 1890s. The Tesorería series filled a fractional gap that commercial banks had little incentive to serve.
ABNC's involvement was routine for the period; the company held long-standing contracts with numerous South American governments. What survives in reasonable condition tends to show foxing along the horizontal folds, a known characteristic of this series.
