| Opis awersu | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Honduras dominating the central field, depicting a triangular mountain landscape within an oval cartouche encircled by the legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS. The arms are flanked on each side by two cornucopiae and two standing Liberty figures wearing Phrygian caps, with crossed cannons, rifles, and flags radiating outward in a symmetrical heraldic arrangement. A mural crown surmounts the shield at the apex. The date 1871 appears beneath the central shield in the lower field. The entire design is framed by a finely toothed border. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse presents a large, naturalistically rendered oak tree occupying the central field, its canopy flanked by two laurel branches curving upward from the base to form a wreath. A ring of thirteen five-pointed stars encircles the tree in the inner field. The denomination 50 C is incused on the trunk of the tree. The patriotic motto DIOS UNION LIBERTAD arcs across the upper periphery, while the date 15 DE SET 1821, commemorating Honduran independence, and the silver fineness 0.900 appear along the lower border. The design is framed by a reeded collar. |
