The centre is occupied by a large blank rectangular panel framed by fine guilloche scrollwork, with 'REPUBLICA ARGENTINA' and '50 CENTAVOS' in bold lettering above and the Argentine coat of arms vignette to the right of the title. The right portion of the reverse features an elaborate decorative cartouche with a cornucopia motif, and the numeral '50' appears vertically in large outline letters at both left and right margins.
