| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed entirely in red-orange on plain paper, the reverse carries a dense guilloche underprint with ornamental rosette corner pieces and a star-shaped central vignette. Large numeral 50 appears at both left and right flanking the central text block, which references the redemption conditions under Ley N° 645 – Diciembre de 1914 and states that these obligations will be received by designated official banks in exchange for credits. Two manuscript signature lines at lower centre correspond to the Ministro de Hacienda and Presidente del Crédito Público. The printer's imprint LIT. G. KRAFT appears at the foot. |

The Province of Mendoza issued emergency fractional currency during 1914 as small-change shortages became acute across Argentina — a problem that hit provincial economies hard when the outbreak of the First World War triggered hoarding of metal coinage throughout the country. Several Argentine provinces responded by authorizing their own low-denomination paper issues rather than waiting on Buenos Aires.
Lit. G. Kraft was a well-established Buenos Aires commercial lithographer, not a specialist security printer. That choice tells you something about the urgency and informality of this emission.
