A curved Cyrillic legend arcs around the upper periphery reading 'АЦҚЬА СИМОН КАНАНИТ ИЗКУ АФОН ҾЫЦТӘИ АНЫХА' (The New Afon Cathedral of St. Simon Zelotes, Apostle).
