At upper left, a bold decorative initial 'F' anchors the large typeset denomination 'FÜNFZIG MILLIARDEN MARK' in the centre field. To the lower left, a small heraldic shield vignette bearing the Thuringian coat of arms is set within a dark rectangular panel. The body text, in German letterpress, states the obligation of the Thüringische Staatsbank cashier to redeem the note, with an issue date of 'Weimar, den 9.
