| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black and green on white paper, with a wave-pattern border running along all four edges. At upper left, a bold decorative initial 'F' anchors the large typeset denomination 'FÜNFZIG MILLIARDEN MARK' in the centre field. To the lower left, a small heraldic shield vignette bearing the Thuringian coat of arms is set within a dark rectangular panel. The body text, in German letterpress, states the obligation of the Thüringische Staatsbank cashier to redeem the note, with an issue date of 'Weimar, den 9. August 1923', the issuing authority 'Die Landesregierung', and a numeral '50' in green at lower right. |
