| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed in brown on cream paper, the obverse is framed by a decorative border with cross motifs at each corner and foliate scroll ornamentation. The denomination is rendered in large blackletter (Fraktur) script — "Fünfzig Milliarden Mark" — beneath the header "Gutschein über". A three-line redemption clause in Fraktur states acceptance by all Bremen state treasuries, followed by the date "Bremen, den 26. Oktober 1923" and the issuing authority "DIE FINANZDEPUTATION:", accompanied by a circular official stamp and two manuscript signatures with a printed serial number to the right. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is dominated by an intaglio-style central vignette of a full-rigged Hanseatic sailing vessel under billowing sails on a stormy sea, rendered in warm brown tones with seagulls aloft. Denomination numerals "50" appear at upper left and upper right within elaborate foliate scroll cartouches, with "MILLIARDEN" arching across the top centre in bold capitals. A ribbon banner below the ship bears the inscription "FREIE HANSESTADT", with "Bremen" in large Fraktur script beneath, and the printer's imprint "KUPFERTIEFDRUCK CARL SCHÖNEMANN BREMEN" along the bottom margin. |
