正面描述	Printed in blue-green on a light ground, the obverse carries a portrait vignette of Mao Tse-tung to the right, set within a guilloche-patterned border. The bank title 江淮銀行 appears in Chinese characters at upper centre, with the denomination 伍圓 repeated in large characters at left and right margins. Two red seal impressions and the Chinese republican date 中華民國三十三年 are present in the lower field.

背面描述	Printed in violet-brown, the reverse is centred on a large numeral '5' enclosed within an ornate guilloche roundel, flanked by floral vignette panels at left and right. The English bank title KIANG HWAI BANK OF CHINA runs along the top margin, with FIVE YUAN along the bottom. Two facsimile signature lines appear in the lower centre field.
