| 背面描述 | The reverse is printed in rose-red on a fine guilloche underprint bearing repeated 'FIVE YUAN' microtext. The central motif is a large arabesque medallion enclosing the numeral 5, flanked symmetrically by two elaborate floral rosettes bearing the Chinese characters 圓 (Yuan) and 伍 (Five) respectively. The denomination numeral 5 also appears in scalloped cartouches at each corner. The bank name 'BANK OF HOPEI' is lettered in a panel at top, with the place name 'TIENTSIN' and the promise-to-pay legend in English at lower centre, dated 1934, and the printer's imprint 'BUREAU OF ENGRAVING AND PRINTING PEIPING CHINA' at foot. |
