The central vignette presents Daikoku, the Shinto god of fortune, shown frontally and seated atop two bales of rice with three mice below; he holds a mallet in his right hand and a sack of riches over his left shoulder, the whole composition set within an ornate medallion surrounded by sakura cherry blossom sprays. A rectangular red treasury seal bearing a vertical clerical-script inscription flanked by dragon motifs, enclosed within a double-circle border, appears at lower left. |
