| 裏面の説明 | The crowned arms of Monaco — a shield lozengy of argent and gules — occupy the central field, surmounted by a princely crown with elaborate foliate ornaments. The circular Latin legend, interrupted by the date, runs around the periphery within a beaded border, with the mint mark appearing at the base of the shield. |

Honoré II had secured the title "Prince of Monaco" from Spain in 1612, but by the 1640s he had switched allegiance to France — a realignment that reshaped Monegasque coinage entirely. This small silver issue belongs to the final years of his reign, struck as he consolidated a monetary identity tied increasingly to French standards rather than Spanish ones. He died in 1662, and production of this type ceased with him.
