Obverse description Green intaglio print on a light guilloche underprint. A central oval vignette contains a seated allegorical Liberty figure holding a shield at her side and an upright staff topped with a Phrygian cap. Large numeral '5' rosettes appear to the left and right of the vignette, framed by intricate guilloche lacework, with the bank title in a banner across the top and the denomination, date, and three manuscript signatures along the lower portion.

Reverse description Entirely green intaglio print. The Peruvian national coat of arms is engraved in a central circular vignette, surrounded by an ornate scrollwork border, flanked symmetrically by large numeral '5' rosettes set within elaborate guilloche lacework panels. The bank title is inscribed across the top and the denomination 'CINCO SOLES DE ORO' runs along the bottom margin, with the printer's imprint below.
