Reverse description A highly detailed, naturalistic portrait of an olive baboon (Papio anubis) rendered in bold relief, occupying virtually the entire field and depicted in a striking frontal view. The primate's distinctive elongated muzzle, deeply set eyes, and dense mane of fur are rendered with fine engraving detail. The species name 'Anubis' appears vertically along the right inner border in incuse lettering. The design is framed by a beaded border running along the coin's periphery.
